Holiday Party Mini Quilt Swap
We will be having our annual mini quilt swap at this year’s holiday party on Sunday, December 8th. Sign ups will be open for this swap until Monday, September 16th, after which partner pairings will be made and then emailed out within a week.
Mini quilts for this swap should follow these guidelines:
- Quilts are not holiday specific, unless your partner indicates on their form that they would like something holiday themed.
- Minis should be no larger than 24″x24″
- The quilt can be any type of shape.
- Must be quilted and bound by the maker.
- Should have some sort of hanging method and label on the back.
Partners will be revealed at the holiday party during the swap, so please do not reveal who you are making for until that point. The minis also do not need to be wrapped, as we will hang them up for display during the party.
If you’re interested in signing up for the swap, please fill out this form: Mini Quilt Swap Sign Up.

Our other new sew in will take place at the Mission Bay Sewing Machines Plus in the evening. We have this space on Tuesday, August 13th from 3:00pm – 7:30pm – future sew in dates can be found in the newsletter. This sew in will cost $5 per person to attend.
2020 Birthday Club
We will be running our guild birthday club again this upcoming year. Birthday club sign ups will be taking place at the August and September guild meetings. At the October meeting, you will receive your group members information and their FQ requests. You will bring back your group’s FQs in a designated bag at the November meeting. Then, on your birthday month in 2020, you’ll receive a bag of FQs from each member of your group!
If you wish to join in on the birthday club, you will just need to fill out the short form at a guild meeting. As part of the birthday club, you will be in a group of 12 individuals and on your birthday month, you will receive a bag of fat quarters based on your indicated likes from the sign up form.
*It’s fun and easy – shop your stash or purchase to meet your members wishes, and of course keep it modern.*
