Moore’s Cancer Center
September – December 2025
We are now in the third and final trimester focus for the year – Moores Cancer Center. Moores serves cancer patients who are going through treatment at UCSD. We support the patients there by providing lap/throw sized quilts (approximately 50”x60” or larger) for them to use during their treatment. Recipients of the quilts will keep their chosen quilt as well.
For our group quilt, we will be making Quarter Log Cabin blocks in a palette of blues, greens, yellows, and whites. Blocks can be made using prints or solids (please keep print colors to the palette) and can be made from your own stash or from a block kit. Full directions for the blocks are in the PDF below.
There will be limited kits available for pickup at the September 14, 2025 meeting – please see Jen Collins to pick one up. More will be available at the Charity Sew In on September 28, 2025 and if any are left, then those will be available at the October 12, 2025 meeting.
All blocks (either from your stash or a kit) are due back by the November 9, 2025 meeting.
