Worldly Quilting Activities Business – By-laws review The Modern Quilt Guid requires specific wording in our by-laws to support our IRS 501(c)(3) designation. The updated by-laws were sent to members through email. Today, the members voted for adoption of the new by-laws. The motion to adopt the new by-laws was made by Amanda Whited and seconded by Sue Bouchard. The by-laws were approved unanimously. In our charity outreach efforts, we try to reach as many different groups as we are able. While quilt making and donating is one of our primary focuses, not every organization can benefit from the donation of a quilt. Each year, the guild raffles off the QuiltCon Community Outreach Challenge quilt to raise funds for a local organization and to support the guild’s charity efforts.
