    Weeks Ringle is coming to SDMQG!

    We are pleased to announce that Weeks Ringle has confirmed that she will come to SDMQG. She will present a lecture on Sunday, October 14th at noon. Cost is free to SDMQG members and $10 for guests. We are still discussing which workshop she will present, but save the date for October 13th from 9-4pm at QIAD.

    2019 QuiltCon Charity Quilt Challenge

    In case you haven’t heard, this upcoming QuiltCon’s Charity Challenge theme is to use small piecing. While the whole quilt does not need to be made up of all small pieced blocks, it should be the main focus. For more information about the challenge, check out the QuiltCon website.          We have planned out the guild’s quilt for this challenge and are raising our own challenge to guild members as well.     We are so excited to be hosting a Libs Elliott workshop on Sunday, December 9 at Quilt in a Day, San Marcos. This will be a full day workshop; 9am-4pm.     Awesome news! The San Diego Quilt show has extended their deadline to July 31!!!!! YOU can still qualify to be in our raffle for a SWEET prize!     VP of Geographic Outreach

    We voted to amend our bylaws and include a VP of Geographic Outreach at our meeting yesterday. The person filling this position would be in charge of setting up social activities in regions of the county that are not where the guild meets for regular meetings (currently San Marcos). Cohni Corazon has expressed interest in being nominated to fill the position at our elections in October. Until then, the executive board has appointed her to the position.
