    Save the Selvages Workshop

    Sandy Thompson will be teaching a Save the Selvages workshop on Saturday, May 18th from 9:30 – 2:30 at Quilt in a Day. The cost of the class is $25 and is limited to 20 spots.     Scout Tee Class

    We will be having a Scout Tee class, led by guild member Kristyn Jansen on Saturday, March 16, 2019. The class will be held at Quilt in a Day from 9:30am-3:30pm. The cost of this class is $25 and lunch is not included. The Scout is a woven t-shirt with capped sleeves and scoop neck. Fitted at the shoulders, this top falls into a loose shape below the bust.     Supplies for Weeks Ringle Class on Saturday

    Hi all! Here’s a reminder about the supplies for Saturday’s class (we still have spots!) Sewing Machine Pedal and Power cord Neutral Thread Rotary cutter 6” x 12” or 4” x 14” Ruler Fabric Patterns are available for purchase at Quilt in a Day. Every student will need to have their own copy. For those of you making the Call Me Crazy quilt, a 6 1/2” square ruler will be helpful.

    We are extremely excited to announce that Weeks Ringle will be coming to SDMQG to present her lecture “Transforming Traditions: Modernism and Quilts” on Sunday, October 14th, 2018 at noon. This lecture is free for dues-paying SDMQG members and $10 for guests. Weeks will also teach a workshop on Improvisational Piecing, which she describes below, along with a materials list.
