Here’s the class description from Sandy:

In this class you will learn how to make Selvage Foundations, which are the base for all selvage projects. You will see how much fun it is to make projects with these foundations.

I will be giving you three patterns: Luggage Tag, Chicken Pincushion and Sewing Machine Mat. The Luggage Tag and the Chicken Pincushion are a great way to learn how to build foundations with your selvages. I will have the supplies for these for these two projects in class.

You may purchase my book “Save the Selvages” in class for $20. If you wish to make one of the sixteen projects in the book, I suggest you purchase the book before class. The supply lists for these projects are in the book.

sew in

North Central County Sew Ins

We have secured space at the North University Community Library (805 & Nobel) on three upcoming Saturdays for sew-ins!

The sew-ins will take place from 9:30am – 1:30pm. We have the space booked for the following Saturdays:

  • March 23rd
  • April 20th
  • May 18th

Tables, chairs, and power outlets are provided by the library, but we will need to bring extension cords along with any other sewing equipment that each person wants to bring to the sew-in. There is also a refrigerator available for our use to keep food or drinks cold while we are there.

Parking: It was recommended to us by the library to park behind the building while we are there for the sew-in, as the parking in the front of the building has a 2-hour time limit.

All members and non-members are welcome to join us for this sew-in!
